PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell strain whose nucleic acid transport activity is significantly lowered than those of wild type cell strains, even when subcultured long, from Mardin-Darby canine kidney cell whose biochemical properties have been well analyzed. PSOLUTION: The Mardin-Darby cultured canine kidney cell strain whose endogenous nucleic acid transport activity is significantly lowered than those of wild type cell strains is provided. For example, provided is the Mardin-Darby cultured canine kidney cell strain whose endogenous nucleic acid transport activity is about one fifteenth based on those of wild type cell strains. The transformed cell is produced by transforming the cell strain with an exogenous nucleic acid transporter.
