PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine displaying a new symbol display area constituting a new pay line if a prescribed condition is satisfied, and a method of the play in the slot machine. PSOLUTION: The number of bets from one to six bets in the current game round is received by a player's operation of a one-betting button 21 and a maximum betting button 22 when the game round is started. Symbol display areas in the number according to the received number of bets are additionally displayed, and new pay lines correlated to the additionally displayed symbol display areas are set.
