PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correlate a meaning annotation with a proper position within a visualized layout of an original source document. PSOLUTION: A document annotator includes a document converter for converting the source document 10 accompanying the layout into a format containing a content and a layout metadata, an annotation pipe line for preparing the annotation of the document for the received content, a manger for specifying a position of the annotation of the document within the layout by a position tag for correlating the annotation of the document with the position tag, based on the layout metadata, and a document visualizer for rendering at least some of the contents in the format and one or more of the selected annotations to conform to the layout, based on the layout metadata and the position tag correlated with one or more of the selected annotation.
