PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for plating trivalent chromium on needles by which trivalent chromium-plated needles not causing an adverse effect on human body/environment, having wear resistance durable to contact/wear between cloth, yarn and fiber for a long period of time can be produced inexpensively, and to provide the trivalent chromium-plated needles.;SOLUTION: The method for plating trivalent chromium on needles comprises reducing the surface roughness of base materials such as latch needles, felting needles or sewing-machine needles and then plating trivalent chromium on each base material.
