PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately express similarity between images.;SOLUTION: The first representative vector group a3 and the second representative vector group b3 for representing respective feature quantity vector groups are calculated by a representative vector group calculating part 22, based on the first feature vector quantity group b1 and the second feature vector quantity group b2 showing features of the respective images of the first comparison-objective image a1 and the second comparison-objective image b1 calculated by a feature quantity vector group calculating part 21, and a representative intervector-group distance ab from the first representative vector group a3 to the second representative vector group b3 for indicating a relative distance to the second representative vector group b3 viewed from the first representative vector group a3, and a representative intervector-group distance ba from the second representative vector group b3 to the first representative vector group a3 for indicating a relative distance to the first representative vector group a3 viewed from the second representative vector group b3 are calculated by a representative intervector-group distance calculating part 23.
