PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black material deposition inhibitor capable of preventing th occurrence of a mottled or stripe-like patterned black material on the surface of a hardened body of mortal or concrete and a method of improving the appearance of the surface of the hardened body of the concrete.;SOLUTION: The black material deposition inhibitor for the surface of the concrete hardened body contains a copolymer of a 6-10C mono-olefin and maleic acid or its salt. The method of improving the appearance of the surface of the concrete hardened body is performed by adding 0.0001-0.1 pts.wt. copolymer of the 6-10C mono-olefin and maleic acid or its salt expressed in terms of solid matter to 100 pts.wt. cement. The black material deposition inhibitor suppresses the deposition of black material on the surface of the hardened body to obtain the hardened body having excellent surface appearance without deteriorating the performance or the like of a hydraulic composition and the hardened body only by being added into the hydraulic composition of regular mortal, concrete or the like.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
