PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat storage exchange type burner unit for enhancing heat efficiency, and reducing the size, by restraining a temperature rise around a gas burner. PSOLUTION: Nozzles 35 and 37A to 37C of a combustion burner 5 are arranged in a bottom wall part 11 of a combustion chamber body 1 so as to emit a flame toward a heat radiation plate 15, respectively. A heat storage 23 is arranged in a peripheral wall part 13 of the combustion chamber body 1, for forming a primary layer A for making combustion air flow to a space formed between the heat radiation plate 15 and the tip of a plurality of nozzles 35 and 37A to 37C, and for forming a secondary layer B for making mixed gas of the combustion air and exhaust gas flow to the heat radiation plate 15 side more than the primary layer A.
