PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a staple leg cutting mechanism capable of obtaining a stable clinch shape by a movable clincher and having no injuring fear due to the burr formed on a cut surface.;SOLUTION: The staple leg cutting mechanism 10 composed of a fixed cutter 11 arranged between staple legs and a movable cutter 13 operated from the outsides of the staple legs to the insides thereof is provided to be arranged between a position advanced into the operation region of the movable clincher 5 and a position retracted from the operation region of the movable clincher 5. This staple leg cutting mechanism 10 is advanced to a staple ejection part to cut the staple legs piercing through bound paper sheets and, after the staple leg cutting mechanism 10 is retracted from the operation region of the movable clincher 5, the movable clincher 5 is rotationally operated to bend the staple legs.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
