PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely clean a metallic plate without causing deterioration in mechanical strength of the metallic plate and melting of the metallic plate caused by the staying of processing solution.;SOLUTION: Having discharged etching processing solution from a processing tank 16, aluminum web 14 is held by pressing devices 22 and 24 which are arranged at most upstream and downstream portions of etching processing equipment 12. Then, cleaning solution is delivered to the web 14 from cleaning sprays 36 to start the cleaning of the web 14. Then, a moving roll 30 arranged between the pressing device 22 and the tank 16 is moved to generate a sagging portion 14S for the web 14, a specific carrier roll 32 is rotated in the forward or the backward direction so that the cleaning solution is applied to the entire web 14 to surely clean the web 14.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
