PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air gap-type etalon in which the latitude for designing the wavelength-temperature characteristics is high and the wavelength- temperature characteristics can be controlled as required, and to provide a device which uses that etalon.;SOLUTION: The air gap-type etalon 1 consists of a fixing bed 2 having one flat face, a transparent parallel plate 3 having an antireflection film 3A and a reflection enhancing film 3B formed on the parallel flat faces and having the flat face in the antireflection film 3A side joined to the flat face of the fixing bed 2, parallel plates 4 each having larger thickness than that of the transparent parallel plate 3 (d2 d1), having a different coefficient of expansion from that of the plate 3 and having one flat face joined to the flat face of the fixing bed 2, and a transparent plate 5 having an antireflection film 5A and a reflection enhancing film 5B formed on the opposite flat faces and having the flat face in the reflection enhancing film 5B side joined to the other flat face of the parallel plate 4. A Fabry-Perot interferometer is formed based on the air gap positioned between flat faces of the transparent parallel plate 3 and the transparent plate 5 facing each other.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
