PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proxy device which can reduce the load of a network.;SOLUTION: In a server side proxy device, when a server side proxy device transfers reply data of a new content from a server side proxy 230 to a client side proxy 240, both of the proxies 2 link data to a finger print that is calculated by applying a hash function to the data, and register it to a finger print cache. When reply data that has the same finger print as a finger print that is registered in the finger print cache is transferred from the server side proxy 230 to the client side proxy 240, the finger print is transferred instead of the reply data.
