PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decontamination method by water-jet light-guide laser exfoliation, capable of preventing re-diffusion of penetration or pollution of a radioactive isotope during decontamination to the inner surface, having a slight polluted matter or to an unpolluted inner surface, and removing or minimizing repollution.;SOLUTION: Decontamination is performed without re-melting, rediffusion and repollution by using the water-jet light-guide laser exfoliation wherein sufficient cooling is kept by peripheral water or water jet so that heat generated in the irradiation surface periphery will not raise the temperature of the whole object and a surface peripheral portion irradiated with a laser is vaporized and removed, by water-jet light-guide laser irradiation performed to a component, a structure or the like having a surface polluted by the radioactive isotopes.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
