PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a near-infrared shield having an excellent near-infrared shielding property, free of deterioration in its near-infrared absorptivity even after long-term storage, and having an excellent light resistance.;SOLUTION: The near-infrared shield includes a near-infrared absorption layer disposed on one main surface of a base 1, wherein the near-infrared absorption layer contains a diimonium compound containing a sulfonic acid imide derivative, and a compound comprising a counterion conjunct of a substituted benzene dithiol metal complex anion represented by formula (1) and a cation.
