PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new concentrated dampening solution substituting for IPA (isopropyl alcohol) containing no IPA at all in order to drastically settling a scumming problem in repose conventionally regarded as difficult to settle.;SOLUTION: This lithographic printing concentrated dampening solution composition includes 10-80 wt.% of a glycol ether solvent shown by general formula (I), RO-CH₂CH(CH₃)OH, 0.5-10 wt.% of a water-soluble cellulose ether shown by general formula (II) and 0.5-5 wt.% of a compound shown by general formula (III). In general formula (I), R¹ represents a methyl group or ethyl group. In general formula (II), R represents each independently a hydrogen atom, a methyl group or -CH₂CH(OH)CH₃ group. In general formula (III), x represents an integer from 1 through 80 and y represents an integer from 1 through 20. This dampening solution composition employs no IPA and has low environmentally polluting properties and can be preferably used in a continuously feeding type dampening solution device.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
