PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method enabling a gallium phthalocyanine compound to stably be produced in a high yield, to provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high photoresponse to a long wavelength illuminant, hardly causing voltage fluctuation in repeated use, excellent in charging properties and not having image defects by employing a gallium phthalocyanine crystal obtained by treating the gallium phthalocyanine compound, and to provide a process cartridge and an electrophotographic apparatus both using the same electrophotographic photoreceptor.;SOLUTION: In a process for the production of a gallium phthalocyanine compound in which a gallium compound reacts with a phthalocyanine ring- formable compound in an organic solvent, the charge ratio of the gallium compound to the phthalocyanine ring-formable compound is (1.2-3.5):4. An electrophotographic photoreceptor is produced using the above gallium phthalocyanine, and a process cartridge and an electrophotographic apparatus are produced using the above electrophotographic photoreceptor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
