PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively control a seismic response of an RC building, by installing a seismic response control structure without intercepting a space, and easily installing the structure even in an existing building in a short construction period by dispensing with large-scale reinforcing work.;SOLUTION: This seismic response control structure 1 of the RC building 2 has mutually connected columns 3 and beams 4, and has a displacement member 5 arranged in the vicinity of a midway position A in the axial direction for switching the direction of the bending moment applied by seismic force in one or both of the columns 3 or the beams 4 and rotatably displaced by a change in curvature of the columns 3 or the beams 4, and an energy absorbing mechanism 6 installed between the other of the columns 3 or the beams 4 and the displacement member 5 and operating by rotational displacement of the displacement member 5 and relative displacement by deformation of the other columns or the beams.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
