PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified base isolation structure which stands bending moment at the time of an earthquake with rigid joining while being able to bear a long-term load.;SOLUTION: The pile head joint tool 22 is formed by interposing a first buffer member 15 between a lower rigid plate 1 and an upper rigid plate 6, and filling a second buffer member 19 into a protective cylinder 12 of the upper rigid plate 6. Then the pile head joint tool 22 is mounted on a top plate 38 of an existing pile 42, and the tip of a fixing reinforcement 44 pierced through holes 4, 9, 18 and equipped with an anchor bar 49 is screwed into a screw hole 40 in the top plate 38, followed by projecting the fixing reinforcement 44 and the anchor bar 49 upward from the pile head joint tool 22. Further a nut 48 is screwed onto the fixing reinforcement 44, and a clamping torque value is controlled, to thereby control a repulsive force occurring in an elastic deformation region of the first buffer member 15. Then concrete is poured to fix pile heads of the fixing reinforcements 44 equipped with the anchor bars 49, respectively, in a footing 51. Thus the vertical load of the superstructure is borne by the fixing reinforcement 44 and the first buffer member 15.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
