Was provided a method for preparing a polymerization catalyst, contact sulfating agent and a carrier containing alumina and chromium include it. Alternatively the carrier may be calcined prior to contact with the organic chromium compound and a carrier after contact with a sulfating agent and a carrier. Catalyst group containing a sulfate treated alumina support and the chromium, which is formed by the above method are provided. Catalytic activity is improved to the family of catalytic compositions. A method of manufacturing a polymer containing a contact with the catalyst composition and the olefin group at least one. The polymer composition class shows a relatively high molecular weight and long chain branching of relatively low degree.
