PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart a luminescence signal with a strong dependency on the alkali ion concentration by employing a monoaza-crown ether shown by a specified formula as a compound (luminophore-ionophore). ;SOLUTION: The luminophore-ionophore of a monoaza-crown ether shown by a formula is useful for determining the physiological pH value and concentration of alkali ion (X: luminophoric part, m: 0, 1, r, s: 0, 1, 2). The monoaza- crown ether is especially useful for determining sodium ion in the concentration range of 110-180 milli mol/liter and potassium ion in the concentration range of 1.5-8.0 milli mol/liter. The luminophoric part X includes all luminophoric parts which can produce PET effect through combination with the ionophoric part. Consequently, the luminescence characteristics is insusceptible to the pH value of a sample within the range of physiological pH value and determined suitably.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
