PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for determining status of the human which can determine whether a person is in a normal status or abnormal status from remote locations precisely and definitely, enabling a drastic cost reduction in establishing the system.;SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises a container body, liquid sealed in the container body and an ultrasonic vibrator to transmit the ultrasonic waves into the liquid and receive the ultrasonic waves reflected on the liquid surface, and includes an ultrasonic vibration sensor for detecting behavior of a person to be detected, ultrasonic receiver/transmitter, a signal converter and a microcomputer. The apparatus is equipped with the ultrasonic receiving/transmitting controller where the status determining apparatus outputs signals to be transmitted in certain intervals to the ultrasonic vibration sensor, while signals to be received are inputted in certain intervals from the ultrasonic sensor(A), computing degree of risk of a person detected by the ultrasonic vibration sensor(A) by change of the maximum amplitude of the inputted received signals, and the cable connecting the ultrasonic sensor and the ultrasonic receiving/transmitting controller and forming an input/output path for signals transmitted or received.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
