PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthesis method for stably obtaining BiMnO₃ as a crystal, and BiMnO₃ crystal.;SOLUTION: The synthetic method includes a flux mixing and melting process for melting a mixture of B₂O₃, H₃BO₃, Bi₂O₃ and Mn₂O₃ under a pressure of ≥3 GPa using B₂O₃ and H₃BO₃ as fluxes and a slow cooling process for slowly cooling the molten product produced by melting under the same pressure to synthesize the crystal of the BiMnO₃.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
