PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce design man-hours and further improve design efficiency, in IP-based LSI design.;SOLUTION: An IP database 30 includes a system level IP31 used in system level design. In the system level IP31, each of IPA, IPB is described by being divided into processing algorithm description portions 33A, 33B, input data structure definition portions 34A, 34B, and output data structure definition portions 35A, 35B. A conversion circuit generating means 36, when a communication channel is provided between the IPs communicating data in architecture or functional design, generates a data conversion circuit between the communication channel and the IP with reference to the IP database 30.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
