PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically detect the device configuration of a production line equipped with a plurality of devices arranged in the processing order of a product.;SOLUTION: Provided is an information processor (1) for outputting an automatic detection command for device configuration to the device (A) arranged on the most upstream side. The respective devices (A to F) has transmission parts (2 and 3) for transmitting the automatic detection command outputted by the information processor to the nearest device arranged downstream and a read part (3) for reading the ID code of the nearest device arranged downstream. A transmission part of each device transmits the ID code read by the read part of the device to the nearest device arranged upstream and also transmits ID code information transmitted from the nearest device arranged downstream to the nearest device arranged upstream.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
