PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hopper apparatus, a sub-tank and a slot machine in which the hopper apparatus is equipped with a contactor electrically connected to a sensor body of a sensor for overflow detection of the sub-tank. PSOLUTION: The hopper apparatus 310 is equipped with a hopper tank 21 for storing medals, and a hopper body 21a for discharging medals stored in the hopper tank 21 one by one. On the right side of the hopper apparatus 310, the sub-tank 70 is located for storing medals in auxiliary manner when the hopper apparatus 310 is filled with medals. The medal detection sensor body 24 for detecting that the inside of the sub-tank 70 is filled with medals and a ground terminal 25 are provided on slits 71, 72 of the sub-tank 70. The contactor 31 for the sensor provided in the hopper apparatus 310 and a contactor 32 for the ground terminal are respectively inserted into the medal detection sensor body 24 and the ground terminal 25 and electrically connected.
