PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately evaluate a dissolution ability at a high speed in an oven for melting glass. SOLUTION: A virtual state quantity exponentially reduced with the passage of time on molten glass in an oven for melting the glass is set. (S1) The tank pottery conditions of the oven for melting the glass is determined, and (S3) the flow field and temperature field of the melted glass in the melting oven with respect to the tank pottery condition is determined. (S4) State quantities in the flow field and temperature field are calculated, and the solution ability of the glass melting oven on the basis of the state quantities is evaluated.
