PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily excavate a shield pit for expanding a width of a tunnel without requiring labor.;SOLUTION: In this shield machine 1, a shield machine body 2 advances boring in the axial direction of an existing tunnel T1 by adjoining an outer peripheral surface of an existing segment ring S1 of the existing tunnel T1. The shield machine body 2 has a cylindrical outer shell part 3, a rockingly arranged rocking cutter part 4 and a rotatably arranged rotary cutter part 5. The rocking cutter part is arranged in a part adjacent to the outer peripheral surface of the existing segment ring S1 of a front end part of the outer shell part 3, and is formed in the shape of running along this outer peripheral surface. The rocking cutter part 4 rocks in the peripheral direction of the existing segment ring S1. The rotary cutter part 5 is installed on a plurality of rotary shafts 51 protrusively arranged in a side part for separating from the existing segment ring S1 in the front end part of the outer shell part 3 so as to eccentrically make parallel link motion.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
