The main active ingredient is a human papillomavirus (HPV) disease therapeutic agent mainly comprising an extract mainly composed of lignin and lignin-like polysaccharide, and a synthetic polymer obtained by dehydrogenative polymerization of phenylpropenoids. HPV disease therapeutics and anti-human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) drugs are provided. (1) A therapeutic agent for HPV disease comprising, as a main active ingredient, an extract mainly composed of lignin and lignin-like polysaccharide obtained by hot water extraction of pine cones or alkaline aqueous solution extraction. (2) A therapeutic agent for HPV disease comprising a synthetic polymer obtained by dehydrogenative polymerization of phenylpropenoids represented by the following formula (1) as a main active ingredient. (R1 is a hydroxyl group or a methoxy group, n is an integer of 1 to 5, and one or more of R1 is a hydroxyl group, and R2 is a carboxyl group, a hydroxymethyl group or a methoxycarbonyl group.) (3) An anti-HIV drug comprising a synthetic polymer as a main active ingredient.
