PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the number of entries of traffic observation table possessed by each node in the network.;SOLUTION: A core node 5 observes a traffic flow amount by each sender address and edge nodes 1 to 4 observe a traffic flow amount by each destination address. A traffic distribution control apparatus 8 particularizes the state of the core node 5 having traffic flow amount of a specified value or over, particularizes a sender address whose traffic flow amount is maximized in the core node 5, particularizes a destination address whose traffic flow amount is maximized in the edge nodes 1 to 4 corresponding to the sender address, controls wavelength exchanges 6, 7 to set a connection between the edge nodes 1 to 4 corresponding to the sender address and the edge nodes 1 to 4 corresponding to the destination address and controls the edge nodes 1 to 4 corresponding to the sender address so as to transmit packets addressed to the destination address by using the setting connection.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
