PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method in which nanometer particles of a mono-dispersed metal chalcogenide or a metal hydroxide are used for continuous growth crystals as nuclei, a method for obtaining core/shell type nanometer particles, and a continuous method for desalting a nanometer particle colloidal dispersion and for removing decomposition products.;SOLUTION: In a method for producing nanometer particles, the first channel for the passage of a metal salt solution (liquid 1) and the second channel of the passage of a chalcogenide solution or an alkali (base) solution (liquid 2) are provided. At least in one place of an area in which the two fluids flow while forming substantially thin layers respectively, the contact interface between both fluids is formed. The thicknesses in the slope line direction of the interface of the two thin flows of a part having the interface are 1-500 μm respectively. In the interface between the two thin layers, metal ions and chalcogenide ions or hydroxide ions are diffused an moved.
