PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly give a tension to a sheet fed from a sheet roll without the variation of tension. ;SOLUTION: A means 43 to store the sheet takeup amount is furnished on a core P of a sheet roll R. A sheet tension adjusting device is composed of a means 1 to support the sheet roll R rotatably, a means to measure the drawn- out amount of the sheet from the roll R, and a means 20 to apply a load on the roll rotation on the basis of the drawn-out amount and takeup amount given by the memory means 43. Because the takeup amount (residual amount) is stored in the memory means 43 at the core P from time to time, a proper tension can be given at all times.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
