PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for raising balloonfish by which the balloonfish can be grown to adult fish by preventing cannibalism under cultivation; and to provide a method for cutting teeth of the balloonfish which is suitable for the raising method and by which a large amount of the balloonfish can be treated without inhibiting the growth of the balloonfish. PSOLUTION: The fry p of the balloonfish is raised by cutting the teeth of the fry p. The cutting of the tooth is carried out at the positions separated from gums. When cutting the tooth, an operator holds the fry by the hand wearing a glove, strips off the lips of the fry by the finger tips of the hand, and cuts the tooth of the balloonfish by scissors held by the other hand. The all fry of the balloonfish can normally be grown to the adult fish because the cannibalism by the fry of the balloonfish under cultivation is prevented by cutting the tooth to improve the productivity of the cultivation.
