PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic member having a glazed layer, furnished with a high softening point and consequently scarcely generating deteriorations in insulating properties, etc., caused by surface roughening and adhesion of stains, when a metallic part is jointed by brazing.;SOLUTION: This ceramic member having the glazed layer is obtained by forming the glazed layer on the surface of a main body comprising a ceramic material, wherein the glazed layer 71 contains an SiO2 component composing the main component for forming a glassy material in an amount of 60-74 wt.% and, on the other hand, an Al2O3 component (alumina component) having the high melting point in an amount of 16-30 wt.% which is rather a large amount than ever. Therefore, the softening point of the glazed layer 71 can be increased and, consequently, the deteriorations of the glazed layer 71 in the appearance caused by the surface roughening, in the insulating properties caused by adhesion of stains, etc., are difficult to be generated when the metallic member 61 is jointed by brazing treatment after glazing, especially when subjected to brazing treatment under a high vacuum.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
