The arrangement consists of a winding mandrel (1) which is mounted in a housing and to which the wire is fed. The wire is guided along the mandrel by three supports (6) which are equi-spaced around the mandrel. The wire is further guided in a spiral groove (12) in the mandrel till it is threaded into the holes (23) in the sheets A wire cutter (14) is mounted at the end of the arrangement with which the spiral is cut off when it has been fully threaded into the sheets.
