The invention relates to the use of eletriptan, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or composition thereof, in the manufacture of a medicament for the prevention of migraine recurrence, as well as to the use of a 5HT1B/1D receptor agonist, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or composition thereof, in the manufacture of a dual-, sustained-, delayed-, controlled- or pulsed-release pharmaceutical composition for the prevention of migraine recurrence.
