MIXTURE OF TWO PARTICULATE PHASES USED IN THE PRODUCTION OF A GREEN COMPACT THAT CAN BE SINTERED AT HIGHER TEMPERATURES

A mixture contains a first phase consisting of a metal, metal alloy and/or metal compound, and a second phase consisting of particles of an inorganic compound which releases no decomposition products above 400 [deg]C which are interstitially soluble and react with the phase to form stable compounds. An independent claim is also included for a process for the production of metallic molded bodies which comprises heating the green body until the particles of the first phase are sintered to form an open porous structure and where the particles of the second phase are removed from the pores of the molded body during or in connection with sintering.
