The present invention relates to synthesis of suitably substituted flavone derivatives exhibiting pronounced antidiabetic and antidyslipidemic activities. More particularly the invention relates to synthesis of S-(+)-7-[3 N-substitutedamino-2-hydroxypropoxy] flavones of formula I and pharmaceutical composition containing these derivatives, as described in the following description.
