The present invention discloses stable pharmaceutical compositions comprising pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt of vasodilator such as Amlodipine and acid addition salt of a synthetic beta-selective adrenoreceptor blocking agent Metoprolol Succinate formulated as oral solid dual release pharmaceutical compositions, useful for the treatment of various cardiovascular diseases. The manufacturing process for the preparation of said stable pharmaceutical compositions is disclosed herein.
