Heretofore it was difficult to predict or visualize approaching critical condition of a patient undergoing medical treatment. Almost invariably the attending doctor's experience, acumen and 'clinical eye' were determining factors for predicting an approaching critical condition, and there were human factors and errors in judgment. The present invention aims at eliminating possibilities of human lapses by providing a novel system capable of giving advance information regarding approaching critical condition of a patient, which comprises in combination - (i) LED seven segment display (1) for exhibiting pathophysiological condition of a patient and also for displaying the output; (ii) driver transistors (2) for driving or/and activating the displays (1); (iii) field programmable gate array (FPGA) for handling computation of the system (3) which is interfaced in parallel with the complimentary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) flash memory (4) storing patient data; (iv) programmable read only memory (PROM) [5] interfaced in parallel to the FGPA chip (3); (v) push button switch keyboard (6) for entering requisite data into the system; (vi) another push button switch employed as a reset switch (7); (vii) LED for indicating severely critical condition of a patient (8); (viii) LED for indicating moderately critical condition of a patient (9) and (ix) power LED (10) for indicating whether the system is "on" or "off". Figs.3 and 4 of the drawings illustrate the invention.
