The invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology.The method of diagnostics of the distal one-third of radial bone osteoporosis consists in that it is made the radiogram of the forearm and of the traumatized hand, afterwards it is determined the Garn index and the thickness index of the radial bone distal one-third cortical shell. Then, the obtained data are appreciated proceeding from the following values, taking into account the sex and age of the patient: male sex - 0, female sex - 1; age under 20 years - 0; 21…30 years - 1; 31…40 years - 2; 41-50 years - 3; 51-60 years - 4; over 60 years - 5; the Garn index equal to 43…44% - 0; 40-42% - 1; 35…39% - 2; 30…34% - 3; 25…30% - 4; under 25% - 5; the thickness index of the radial bone distal one-third cortical shell equal to 7…9 mm - 0; 6…7 mm - 1; 5…6 mm - 2; 4…5 mm - 3; 3…4 mm - 4; under 3 mm - 5, then the obtained values are summed up and where their sum is equal to 0…4, it is diagnosed the normal state of the osseous tissue, where the sum is equal to 5…7 - osteopenia, 8…10 - initial osteoporosis, 11…13 - moderate osteoporosis, over 14 - marked osteoporosis.
