The method consists in a series of pieces (2), which are to constitute the means of fastening a rear-view mirror or light support to the windscreen of a vehicle, said pieces (2) being pre-coated with the relevant adhesive for fixing them to the windscreen, being placed on a plate, which forms a tray (1), in a Cartesian arrangement with a positioning tolerance of no more than two tenths, the surface of the tray (1) on which the pieces (2) are arranged being silicone-treated to allow removal of said pieces by a robot, the latter being designed to place each one of said pieces on a vehicle windscreen or the like in a vehicle-production process.
