The multi-media installation (1), particularly one which is openable and accessible and is positionable on a floor (2), comprises two tubes (3,4) laid in a flat surface which extends upwards from the floor and are provided with a floor connection (6,5). Between the tubes in a tube surface is a picture screen (7) and a seat unit on a seat tube which extends from the floor provided with a floor connection at a distance from the tube surface between the tubes. At a distance from the floor are connections to each of the tubes. A recess is provided in front of the picture screen for further components, such as a card reader, a credit card reader, or a payment device for receipt of coins or even banknotes. The installation can be provided with side screens (30,30') partly for privacy, partly for limitation of incoming light into the picture screen.
