The method makes digital information compressed for use as a source for automatic generation of new information, with employment of matrices, components of which comprise only one figuer or letter from the series 0 to 9 and A to F. A matrix comprises 9 cells, divided over 3 rows and 3 columns. In the process, number pairs are generated in the matrix with exclusion of the number from which the procses started, hereinafter denominated as source number, starting with the next following number in a clockwise direction which is coupled with the next following number in a clockwise direction so that per source number each of the other 8 numbers may occur only in one generated number pair. The figure 0 does not form part of the process. Examples of generated numbers are that from the source number, the pairs 23,69,87 and 54 are generated and from the source number 2 the pairs 36, 98, 75 and 41 are generated. With the letters, the matrix has 5 cells, comprising one row of 3 cells and one row of 2 cells, containing from left to right A, B and C in sequence in the top row and D and E in sequence in the lower row. The letter F stands in isolation. Examples of the letter pairs generated are that from the source letter A the paisr BC and DE are generated and from the source letter B the pairs CE and EA are generated.
