The vehicle frame (5) is made from concrete. The drive mechanism, the power source for this mechanism, and the control system (40) for the vehicle are all mounted on the frame. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) First method for making the vehicle, comprising providing a metal reinforcement for the frame; connecting the reinforcement to concrete mold inserts, preferably by welding; providing a concrete casting mold with a cavity having a shape corresponding to that of the frame; fixing the metal reinforcement inside the mold; casting concrete into the mold; allowing the concrete to set; removing the frame from the mold; and securing a drive mechanism, power source, control system and wheels (10) and/or endless tracks to the frame via the inserts; and (2) Second method for making the vehicle, comprising providing a concrete casting mold with a cavity having a shape corresponding to that of the frame; casting concrete into the mold; allowing the concrete to set; removing the frame from the mold; drilling holes in the frame; mounting inserts in the holes; and securing a drive mechanism, power source, control system and wheels and/or endless tracks to the frame via the inserts.
