The device (1') has an operating unit (35) manually operated for displacing a valve body of a valve connected between an outlet of a pressure reducer and a container (2) for allowing gas passage. An operating handle (38) is coupled operatively to a transmission (39) i.e. cam. The transmission defines three stable positions e.g. rest position in which a valve (11') for passing a fluid e.g. beer, from the propellant to a dispensing channel (13) and the valve for gas passage are closed, a standby position in one of the valves is closed and an operative position in which both valves are open. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a container for use with fluid dispensing device (2) a head of a fluid dispensing device.
