METHOD FOR ASSESSING MATURITY OF ROOTS IN PERMANENT TEETH OF CHILDREN

A method for assessing the maturity of the root in permanent teeth of children provides for scanning X-ray dental image with 600 dpi resolution. In the image, the center of the cutting edge of the crown for one-root teeth and the center of the line running in the neck of the tooth for molars are marked. Positions of the apices of the roots and the width of the flared end are assessed. Then the data are processed according to the special software. The length of the root and the parameters of the flared end are obtained.
