METHOD FOR PREDICTING RISK OF TRANSFORMATION FROM DISSEMINATED ENCEPHALOMYELITIS TO MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS

A method for predicting the risk of the transformation from disseminated encephalomyelitis to the multiple sclerosis provides for the use of the clinical and neurovisual signs in the beginning of the disease. The following prognostic criteria are taken into account: the sex, the changes in the neurological status, the alterations in sensitivity and coordination, the disability degree according to EDSS scale (in scores), the results of magnetic resonance tomography, the presence of the viral infection. The prognostic coefficients of the groups of signs are summed up and the risk of the transformation from disseminated encephalomyelitis to the multiple sclerosis is assessed.
