METHOD FOR IMPROVEMENT OF QUALITATIVE FACTORS OF BLAST-FURNACE COKE

A method for the improvement of qualitative factors of blast-furnace coke by means of spattering on the pieces of blast-furnace coke 2-20% aqueous solution of tetraborate, selected from the sequence: sodium tetraborate, potassium tetraborate, calcium tetraborate at the temperature of 20-50 ° in such volume that the amount of dry tetraborate in the coke was 0.05-0.50 volume percent in re-calculation towards coke. And 0.1-0.2 % nonionic surfactant is added to the aqueous solution of tetraborate, at that for the treatment is used such volume of solution that the amount of surfactant in coke was 0.0035-0.0070 volume percent in re-calculation towards coke.
