METHOD FOR FIXATION OF MESHED POLYPROPYLENE ENDOPROSTHESIS IN SURGERY OF POSTOPERATIVE VENTRAL HERNIA

A method for the fixation of the meshed polypropylene endoprosthesis in the surgery of the postoperative ventral hernia has been proposed. For suturing, the needle enters the tissues at the distance of 2-2.5 cm from the upper edge of the hernial opening and passes through all layers of the abdominal wall in parallel to the hernial defect involving the endoprosthesis. The site of the exit of the needle locates at the distance of 2 cm from the first entry. Then, the needle pierces the tissues at the distance of 0.5 cm from the site of the exit with the analogous pattern of suture passage involving again the endoprosthesis with the second exit located at the distance of 2 cm from the edge of the hernial opening.
