Method for compression of gravimetric measuring information on anomalies of acceleration of gravity is in formation of two-dimensional massif of digital marks of gravimetric measuring information on anomalies of acceleration of gravity with account of matching to coordinates of Earth surface in which those marks have been obtained. Before beginning of compression one carries out low-frequency filtration of massif of digital marks of gravimetric measuring information on anomalies of acceleration of gravity. After that one carries out compression of that massif by means of method for compression on basis of fractals. At that parameters of compression are chosen in such way that distortion of gravimetric measuring information on anomalies of acceleration of gravity after compression do not exceed permitted values. The invention provides increase of level of compression of gravimetric measuring information on anomalies of acceleration of gravity under condition of provision of given accuracy of representation of that information and / or increase of accuracy of representation of that information under condition of provision of given level of its compression.
