The lighting string has two conductive wires (2,3) that are separated by an internal, and each having a skin that is cut to expose a metal plane. An LED dice (1) is placed on each metal plane of one conductive wire. A metal wire (11) has opposite ends connected to the LED dice and the metal plane of the other conductive wire. A package covers the metal planes, dice, and metal wire to form an isolated lighting unit (10).
